‘Chester’ is a thornless blackberry cultivar- yippy! This is a free-standing smaller shrub, standing 24" h (does not need wires or support) produces one crop of fruit per year, starting in August sometimes until frost. Firm very large flavorful berries that are great for eating and super easy to harvest compared to most thorned blackberries. Plant is resistant to cane blight. Self Pollinating - Deer Resistant. Super easy prolific addition to any urban garden!

Chester is a Floricane plant meaning the fruit produces on the old canes from the previous year.
